Meditation: Walking with Migrants in God’s Care
Find a quiet space and sit comfortably, closing your eyes if it feels right. Take three deep breaths, inviting God’s presence. Visualize a migrant walking a long road, carrying hopes and fears, and imagine yourself beside them, offering comfort. Recall a time you felt supported in a difficult transition. Whisper, “Thank You, Lord.” Now, imagine placing migrants’ struggles—danger, hunger, rejection—into Jesus’ hands. Hear Him say, “I was a stranger and you invited me in” (Matthew 25:35). Feel His compassion embracing every migrant. Spend five minutes in silence, praying for their safety and peace. End by praying, “Lord, protect and guide all migrants in Your love.” Open your eyes, carrying this solidarity into your day. Repeat daily during the novena to deepen your compassion and trust in God’s care for those on the move.
